“doused” feels like the perfect name for this track from brooklyn’s beach fossils spin-off, diiv. the thumping drums and relentless, stabbing guitars evoke some criminal conspiracy – arson comes to mind. and the spectre of dubious activity only feels more likely with singer zachary cole’s premonitory incantation.
if you enjoy the smell of gasoline, and your post-punk dark and ethereal, lookout for diiv’s debut, oshin, out 06/26/12 via captured tracks.
