While Orenda Fink was playing the guitar by night at their college in Birmingham, Alabama, Maria Taylor joined her, and their first song got written. The music of Fink and Maria is not familiar with loud sounds; it’s more something like a combination when poesie, guitar chords and beats are meeting bubble-electronic. The result is fragile, soft and feathery music. The song “rise” is one of my favorite peace of their songs which I’d liked to repeat oftenly.
