minneapolis electro-pop duo elite gymnastics have given anyway six increasingly impressive digital releases on their tumblr page over the past year. so it’s not surprising that their latest, the pulsing and luminescent ruin 1 / ruin 2, offers the most promise yet. “minneapolis belongs to you”, the stand-out closer among the several compelling tracks, evokes youth taking the night—for me, it’s the soundtrack to a lubricated ride into the city.

Not sure if you can answer this one or not, rnadrgieg the target heart rates. My theoretical max rate has never, ever been in line with the general formula(s). My resting heart rate is in the low 50s. Throughout my entire life (I’m 44) during intense exercise I have nearly always been able to get my heart rate above 200 (even above 220 while in my early 20s). Getting my heart rate to 140 is fairly easy, and also drops once resting pretty rapidly. I ran cross-country and wrestled in high school, and was very active in the navy, as I am now (There was a period in my 30s that I was somewhat sedentary, but I’m over that now.) I’ve had EKG’s, and a work-up following a reaction to medication a number of years ago, and no problems have ever been detected. How firm is this max heart rate rule ? Should I be concerned, or am I another one of those biological anomalies?
