¡Hola! My name is Leo, I’m 24 years old and I’m a student from Buenos Aires. I play music, mostly techno and electro, in friends parties here in my city, with my very special partner Gabo we created Holy Monarchy.
I met Yasemin in 2005, when I was a exchange student who stayed in her house for seven beautiful and amazing months. She is a sister to me, the sister I never had because I have two brothers. When she introduced me we.love.repeat I fell in love, and when she asked me for my collaboration I instantaneously said YES. I love anything about music, especially the indie kind of music. That kind of music that touch your soul and can make you smile, cry and fly. Today I introduce to you Lover Lover.
Lover Lover are remarkable new singer Eleanor Bodenham and Martin Craft (M. Craft, Jarvis Cocker), two long-time musical friends from London, UK. It was in Paris that the pair found the inspiration to create their dazzling pop project and, with producer Nick Littlemore (Empire of the Sun, Cirque du Soleil) behind the scenes, Lover Lover began.
Eleanor’s folk-curled, crystalline voice is wrapped in shimmering electronics, chiming guitars, dusty beats and classic, soaring songs. If Beach House met the Eurythmics on a late-summer’s road trip, it might sound like this, all polaroid-faded and sunset-red with the wide-eyed innocence of a John Hughes film. It’s dazzling pop, heartache-on-the-dancefloor, wanderlust dreams, an echo of another time – digitised, modernised and mechanised. ‘Freebirds’ is the debut single. Enjoy.
With love, L.
